AHUIMANU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 23-year-old man is dead after a high-speed crash in the Ahuimanu area Tuesday night.
It happened around 8:50 p.m. near Hui Kelu Street and Aka Place.
HPD said the driver was speeding when he hit two unoccupied, parked vehicles.
The car then plowed into a rock wall.
Neither the driver or his two passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time.
Honolulu EMS rushed them all to the hospital, where the driver later died.
The passengers, both men in their 20’s, are being hospitalized in serious condition.
No one was wearing a seatbelt, investigators said.
Police said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be contributing factors.
The investigation is ongoing.
